LA Women's Tennis Championships

The WTA Los Angeles ( officially: LA Women's Tennis Championships presented by Herbalife ) was a women's tennis tournament of the WTA Tour, which was held in the suburb of Carson in Los Angeles County.

The tournament was first held in 1971 in the suburb of Long Beach, in 1977 we moved to Los Angeles. In the years 1974 to 1976 it was removed from the tournament schedule. In 1983 again changed the venue and stayed until 2002 in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles County.

The tournament was part of the U.S. Open Series, which are regarded as preparation for the U.S. Open.
