Lačnov

Lačnov is a municipality in okres Vsetín in the east of the Czech Republic. At 31 December 2008, there were 876 people.

Geography

Lačnov situated in a valley on the southeastern edge of the ridge Vizovická Highlands in East Moravia. Cadastral area of ​​flow through the streams Seninka, Smolinka and Lačnovský creek, which is east of the town dammed to two ponds. Neighboring towns are Valašské Klobouky in the south, the west and Tichov Horni Lideč and Lidečko in the east.

History

The place appeared in 1422 the first time in written sources. In 1424 he was part of the rule Brumov whose goods by Miroslav Cimburk were pledged. The village was devastated in 1633 during the invasion of the Tatars and 1703-1710 of the kuruc.

Administratively Lačnov belonged until 1849 to the circle Uherské Hradiště until 1949 Uherský Brod and until 1960 to Valašské Klobouky. Since 1960, the community is part of the okres Vsetín.

Attractions

  • St. Mary's Church on the outskirts was built in 1968, was allowed initially but are only used as a ceremonial hall for funerals. They could only be ordained in 1991.
  • In the village there are several monuments of folk architecture from the early 19th century.
  • Around Lačnov are some meadows with large stocks of in the wild in the Czech Republic highly vulnerable Spring Crocus. The species is not native here. It was probably introduced during the Napoleonic wars from the Alpine region, along with the hay that had carried as horse feed the troops. Three areas near Lačnov are protected: the natural monument Lačnov directly in place ( 0.23 ha, since 1948 ), the natural monument Sucháčkovy paseky (0.70 ha, since 1999) and the natural monument Smolinka ( 5.41 ha, since 1982). The protected areas include the remains of formerly far more extensive Crocus stocks, however, were decimated in the 1960s by intensive agriculture.
