Laforge-2 generating station

The Réservoir Laforge -2 is an artificial lake in the Canadian province of Québec. It is located in the region Jamesie and is part of the James Bay hydroelectric project.

The dam Barrage Laforge -2 was built in the years 1993 to 1996 and holds the waters of the Rivière Laforge, a tributary of the La Grande Rivière, back.

The associated hydropower plant Laforge -2 has an output of 319 MW, the drop height is 27.4 meters. The hydroelectric power plant at Brisay Réservoir de Caniapiscau located upstream from and regulates the flow into the Réservoir Laforge -2.
