Lafrançaise

Lafrançaise is a commune with 2874 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the district of Montauban, in the Tarn- et- Garonne in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The municipality is the administrative seat of the eponymous canton Lafrançaise.

Lafrançaise is located north of the mouth of the Aveyron in the Tarn. The next communities are Meauzac, Montastruc, Villemade, Labastide -du -Temple and Piquecos. Distance to Montauban is 17.2 km.

History

Lafrançaise was as Bastide in 1274 by the French King Philip III. founded.
