Lag da Laus

Landslide area without inflow

The Lag da Laus (Romansh in the idiom Sursilvan, literally " Traubenkirschsee ") is a lake in the Surselva in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is located in the municipality of Sumvitg on the southern edge of the Anterior Rhine Valley above the hamlet of Laus.

Its origin goes back to a landslide, whose elements are clearly visible from Disentis from. The lake is accessible by foot and by mountain bike in different ways. From louse a narrow carriage road leads to a large parking lot, from which a path leads in around 40 minutes to the lake.

The lake is fed by underground springs and is surrounded to the north of loose alpine forest. On the north side is the drain, which disappears after the overflow of the emerging underground.

The fishing in the lake is allowed only to the members of the fishing club Sumvitg.
