W1

The Laghi del Gorzente ( in German: Lakes of Gorzente ) are three reservoirs in the Ligurian Apennines, which supply the port city of Genoa with drinking water. The Laghi del Lago Lungo Gorzente include the ( in German: Long Lake ), located at an altitude of 684 meters above sea level, Lake Badana (700 meters ) and the Lago Bruno ( 646 meters). The Bruno Lago and Lago Lungo lie on the border between the provinces of Genoa in Liguria and Alessandria in the Piedmont region. The Lago Badana in contrast, is completely on Piedmontese territory. The lakes are among the communities Bosio, Campomorone and Ceranesi.

The lakes have a total volume of 12 million cubic meters. From Lago Bruno a 2.3 kilometer long tunnel leads through the Apennines as far as Gallaneto ( at Campo Morone ) where a treatment plant is located. From there the water is directed to the various communities.
