Lahn is a scattered settlement in the Upper Pinzgau, the rear Salzach valley in the district of Zell am See / Pinzgau, and town in the municipality Wald im Pinzgau, on the southern edge of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Geography

The settlements with about 280 inhabitants and 80 houses are up the valley of forest and leading forest mountain on the south side of the Salzach Valley, between 900 m at the valley floor and on the L 113 ( Krimml Highway ), 1100 m at the Old Gerlosstraße B 165 ( Ghf. History

Hinterwaldberg situated at the old mule track from Mittersill as a commercial node via the Gerlos Pass ( Pinzgauer height ) to Zell am Ziller. It was expanded in 1631 to the wagon trail. In 1962, the leading on Gerlos Alpine Road Krimml new opened, the graduate engineer Franz Wallack, the builder of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, had planned.
