Lake Wylie
The Lake Wylie is an American artificial reservoir is located in the states of South Carolina and North Carolina. The lake has an area of 54 square kilometers and a circumference of 523 kilometers.
History
1904, the first dam was built on the site of the Catawba Power Company to generate electrical energy. The Catawba River was dammed for this purpose. In 1924, the building was extended and expanded by the Southern Power Company.
