Origin and characteristics

The Lake Fields chicken belongs to the family of the so-called German chickens. About the home of the Lake fields, there are several explanations. After accepting the breed in Westphalia to have originated in the area of Dielingen, near the lake Dumber, others assume that the chicken was came to its own in the Dutch Lakerveld.
