Lal Hilditch

George Clarence " Lal " Hilditch ( born June 2, 1894 in Hartford, † 31 October 1977) - also known as Clarrie Hilditch - was an English football player and coach.

Career

Hilditch has so far been the only former player of Manchester United, which was allowed to work later as head coach at the "Red Devils ". He was mostly used by coach John Chapman on the position of the right outer rotor and took over in 1926 for a short time the office. His early work as players had been the FC Hartford, Witton Albion and Altrincham FC. Hilditch played between 30 August 1919 and January 30, 1932 a total of 322 times for United and scored seven goals. The Englishman finished his career in 1932; Significant gains title with Manchester United were not granted to him during his career.
