Lalande (crater)

Lalande is a small impact crater on the eastern edge of the Mare Insularum in the center of the visible side of the moon. The crater is surrounded by an area of ejecta with high albedo. This runs in a beam system with a maximum diameter of almost 300 kilometers.

The interior walls are terraced and at the center of the crater floor is a small survey. Lalande is probably formed about 2.8 billion years.
