Lam Thap District

Amphoe Lam Thap ( Thai: อำเภอ ลำ ทับ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Krabi province. The Krabi Province is located in the west of South Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe Khlong Thom and the Khao Phanom, Krabi, Amphoe Thung Yai and Bang the Khan of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Amphoe Wang Wiset Trang province.

History

Lam Thap was posted on June 30, 1984 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the two Tambon Lam Thap and Din Udom Amphoe Khlong Thom have been separated from. On November 4, 1993 Lam Thap got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Lam Thap is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 27 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Lam Thap is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Lam Thap and Thung Sai Thong.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
