Lameck Aguta

Lameck AGUTA ( born October 10, 1971) is a Kenyan marathon runner.

In 1994 he finished third in the Berlin marathon in 2:10:41. In 1995 he finished fourth in the Boston Marathon, as in the following year with his personal best of 2:10:03. In a marathon, the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he finished 52nd place.

In 1997 he won the Boston Marathon. In July of the same year he was robbed after a car accident four policemen who had noticed that he had a greater amount of cash in the car and critically injured. For three months he was in a coma and was able to recover with difficulty his ability to move, with no thought of running first then.

After he had taken longer runs again in 2000, he ran to the end of 2004 as a test run a marathon in 2:30 and trained over the winter to try a comeback in the Boston Marathon, which, however, did not succeed.
