Lamont (lunar crater)

Lamont is an oval surface structure on the lunar front side in the plane of the Sea of Tranquility, southeast of the crater Arago.
It is believed that it is the system of concentric surveys is the remains of an impact basin. Below the structure is a Mascon has been detected.
The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the astronomer Johann Lamont.
