The country Erbach ( called the upper reaches bone Bach ) is an orographic right tributaries of the oil Bach in North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany. It has a length of 11.4 km.

River course

The country Erbach arises as bone creek in the northeast of the village of Senne Stukenbrock as a source runoff pond. After about 1.6 km, it takes the right side also springing in the Senne Kramp Bach about a traffic jam on the pond and then changes his name to "Land Erbach".

The creek flows in a westerly direction towards Schloss Holte and cross through the local motorway to A33. Flora and Fauna

The (as well as the oil stream ) from east to west through the Holter forest land flowing Erbach is accompanied by alder-ash riparian forests. Local are also to be found relics of alder forests. The lake serves as a habitat for kingfishers.

Others

On the northern edge of the Holter forest can be found in the country Erbach in several places remains of old dams. These were closed earlier in order to flood the adjacent meadows and to fertilize the nutrient-poor soils due to the suspended solids. This process was referred to as "Meadow rafts ". Only with the advent of chemical fertilizers in the first half of the 20th century, this fertilization method was discontinued.
