Landeskirchenamt München

The Regional Church Office in Munich is the Consistory of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. The Church's authority is located in Munich's Maxvorstadt in the Katharina -von- Bora - road (until 2010 Meiser street after the former bishop and head of the national church office Hans Meiser ) with individual outsourced departments in the Karl Road and Mars Road. She is responsible for the administration of the Bavarian church. The Regional Church Office in Munich is the official residence of the Bavarian bishop, the Chairman of the National Church Council, which in turn is composed of the heads of departments of the State Church Office and the regional bishops of the national church. The National Council of Churches meets monthly plenary sessions in the national church office.

Building

The office building of the National Church Office Munich consists of the buildings Katharina von Bora -Straße 11 and Katharina von Bora -Straße 13, which are supplemented by another building in the courtyard.

The architect Oswald Bieber built together with Karl Stohr 1928-1929 which is now listed administration building Katharina von Bora -Straße 13 in the form of an Italianate palazzo.
