Foundation Country Home Already village

The Country Home Already village is a boarding school with two high schools and an elementary school in am Ammersee. The campus with a total of 27 individual buildings and private boat dock is located on the Ammersee. The mission of the country home is " learning with head, heart and hand". Here is the head of the academic education, the heart for the community and the acquisition of social skills and the hand for practical training in craft, music, artistic and sporting workshops.

History

The boarding school was founded in 1905 by Julius Lohmann as a boarding school. At first only boys were included. In 1929 it was converted by the couple Julie and Ernst Reisinger into a foundation. Developed by two basic structure of the country home with teachers who are also foster parents and mentors, as well as the workshops program has been maintained until today. School Profile

The Country Home Already village has different types of schools. The state-approved Ernst Reisinger -Gymnasium, the state- approved Julius -Lohmann - school and a primary school boarding school. Offered are a linguistic and a branch of economics. The camp can accommodate up to 300 students, of which about 200 formerly lived in the boarding school. In recent years, the boarding area recorded a substantial decline in students. Currently about 270 students are schooled in the camp, of which only 110 in the boarding school (as of January 2014). The students come from all over Germany and abroad. Upper secondary education is supplemented by the mandatory participation of craft ( locksmith, carpentry, photo workshop and others), sports ( sailing, rowing, hockey, tennis, golf, rock climbing ) and artistic projects ( choir, band, theater). To many pupils as possible to allow the education in the country Schondorf the foundation awards Landheim am Ammersee as carrier performance and economy scholarships.

Foreign language sequence

In fifth grade, all students begin with English as a second language. In the sixth grade, there is a choice between French and Latin.
