Landolt–Börnstein

Landolt- Bornstein is the short name of Landolt- Börnstein numerical data and functional work table from physics, chemistry, astronomy, geophysics and technology

The first edition was in 1883 by Hans Heinrich Landolt ( 1831-1910 ) and Richard Bornstein ( 1852-1913 ) published as a single volume manual with 280 pages. The 6th edition ( 1951-1976 ) comprised 15 volumes and the new series has been published since 1961, which already included more than 350 volumes in 2008.

The reference book will be published by Springer Science Business Media.

The Landolt- Bornstein is divided ( volumes) in four sections:

  • Atomic and Molecular Physics
  • Properties of matter in its aggregate states
  • Astronomy and Geophysics
  • Technology

1961 began the publication of the similarly oriented plant numerical values and functions of science and technology. New series, divided into the following sections:

  • Substance and keyword indices
  • Units and Fundamental Constants
  • Nuclear physics and nuclear engineering
  • Atomic and Molecular Physics
  • Crystal and solid state physics
  • Macroscopic and Technical Properties of Matter
  • Geophysics and Space Research
  • Astronomy, Astrophysics
  • Biophysics
  • Advanced Materials and Technologies ( founded in 2002)
