Landskrona BoIS

Landskrona Boll och Idrottssällskap is a football club based in Landskrona, playing in the second Swedish league Superettan.

History

Landskrona BoIS was founded in 1915 by the merger of IFK Landskrona and Diana. Landskrona BoIS was one of the twelve founding clubs in the Allsvenskan (highest Swedish league ) in 1924 and struck in the opening match IFK Norrköping 1-0. In the end they finished 6th place

In the years 1976 and 1977, the third rank could be shown what the club for the UEFA Cup qualifying. 1972 won Landskrona BoIS the Swedish Cup final 3-2 against IFK Norrköping until now for the only time. 2005, the club was relegated to the second Swedish league Superettan after they lost in the relegation GAIS Gothenburg. One of the most famous players was the current coach Jörgen Pettersson, former striker for Borussia Moenchengladbach, who scored eight goals in 27 games also for the Swedish national team.

Next Landskrona BoIS has a good youth work, for a good half of the current squad comes from their own youth.
