Langtang
Langtang is a region in the north of Kathmandu Nepal on the border with Tibet. It stands as a national park under protection, in this area there are some very high peaks such as the Langtang Lirung ( 7246 m).
Approximately 4,500 people live in the park, far more use of the forests of the park for livestock and firewood. The majority of the population belongs to the Tamang.
The park contains a wide range of climates, from subtropical to nival zone. Approximately 25 percent of the park is forested.
