Łapsze Niżne

Łapsze Niżne ( German Łapsze Niżne ) is a village and seat of the rural community in the Malopolska province in Nowotarski powiat in Poland.

History

The village was mentioned in 1274 for the first writing, it belonged until 1918 to the Kingdom of Hungary and was there for administrative purposes in the county of Zips. Diegegend the medieval Ostsiedlung waährend was settled by German colonists (see Forest German ). 1910 had 610 mostly Slovak inhabitants, still this place with others of the so-called Polish Zips to Poland entered was that of 1939-1945 again briefly to the Slovak state, since it is a part of Poland.
