Laroche-près-Feyt

Laroche- près- Feyt (La Rocha in Occitan ) is a commune with 73 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Pays d' Eygurande.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, approximately 95 kilometers south-west, Ussel about 30 kilometers southwest of Clermont-Ferrand and about 60 kilometers east.

Neighboring communities of Laroche- près- Feyt are Saint- Merd la Breuille in the north, Saint- Germain -pres- Herment in the east, Bourg -Lastic in the southeast and Feyt in the west and northwest.

Traffic

The village is located about 23 kilometers northwest of the junction 25 of the A89 autoroute.

History

The Neolithic colonization of the region is occupied by various witnesses as for pottery and burial mounds, stone circles and dolmens.
