Larry Crockett
Larret " Larry " Crockett ( born October 23, 1926 in Cambridge City, Indiana, † March 20, 1955 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania) was an American race car driver.
Career
Larry Crockett launched in 1954 in 10 races on the AAA National Series. His best result was a fourth place at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. In his only start in the 500 miles of Indianapolis, he took on a Kurtis Kraft - Offenhauser 3000 the ninth and won the title "Rookie of the Year." As the race between 1950 and 1960 belonged to the world championship of Formula 1, including a Grand Prix start is in its statistics. 1955 accident Crockett died in a Sprint Car race at Langhorne.
