Lars Gule

Lars Gule (* June 24, 1955 in Oslo) is a Norwegian philosopher, historian and social scientist.

Life

As a young man Lars Gule was arrested for the transfer of explosives, was intended for a terrorist attack of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine on a target in Israel, the Lebanese Beirut in 1977. Due to the illegal possession of explosives, he was sentenced to six months in prison, but not for participating in a terrorist action.

In 1978 he began studying philosophy, history and the social sciences at the University of Bergen. During this time, he distanced himself from Marxism as an ideology, rejecting the concept of class struggle and condemned the "left-wing violence Romance".
