Lars Høgvold

Lars Høgvold ( born September 11, 1888 in Løten; † 31 December 1963 Lillehammer ) was a Norwegian skier who was successful in ski jumping and Nordic combined.

Career

In the Norwegian Championships in 1910 in Skien Høgvold won behind Lauritz Bergdahl and Andres Innleggen Bronze in the singles of the combination. Two years later he repeated this success at the Norwegian Championships 1912 in Trondheim. Only a year later he reached by winning the silver medal behind Johan Kristoffersen his best result. In the same year he won the discharged as Damenes Cup special combination competition at Holmenkollen.

1916 Høgvold was awarded the Holmenkollen medal.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1926 in Lahti, he reached the normal hill in sixth place.

After his playing career, he worked as a trainer in his home club, the Lillehammer SK. Then held various positions in the Norwegian Ski Høgvold.
