Lars Svensson ( born 1941 ) is a Swedish ornithologist and author of numerous bird identification books.

Svensson et al Author Dubbed " The Svensson " in professional circles bird guide titled " The New Cosmos bird guide ," along with Peter Grant and illustrators Killian Mullarney, Dan Zetterström and Larry McQueen. In it, more than 700 bird species in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East are pictured and described. 2011 appeared the revised German -language second edition.

Svensson is a member of the Swedish Ornithological Association taxonomic Commission ( SOF).
