Lars T. Jørgensen

Lars Troels Jørgensen ( born February 3, 1978 in Lov near Roskilde, Denmark ) is a Danish handball player. He is 1.92 m tall and weighs 104 kg.

Jørgensen, who plays for the Danish club KIF København and for the Danish national team ( back number 6) runs, is used almost exclusively in the defense; if so, then he plays in attack left back.

Lars Jørgensen started at Fladså HK with the handball game where his father had already been active. Later he moved then to the capital club Virum Sorgenfri, where he debuted in the Danish first division in 1997 and won the Danish championship. When his club had to declare bankruptcy in 2001, Jørgensen moved abroad to BM Altea in the Spanish league ASOBAL. There he stood 2004 in the EHF Cup final, but lost to the German THW Kiel. This recommendation Jørgensen moved further in 2004 to SDC San Antonio. With the men from Pamplona he won the 2005 Spanish Cup. In 2006 he reached the final of the EHF Champions League, but it lost to BM Ciudad Real. In 2009 he returned to Denmark and since then plays at AG København. With AG København, he won the championship in 2011 and 2012. Following the bankruptcy of AGK in July 2012, Jørgensen was vertragslos. He then joined KIF København.

Lars Jørgensen has been disputed 192 caps for Denmark. At the 2008 European Championships in Norway, he was European champion; at the European Championships in 2002, 2004 and 2006, he won the bronze medal, just like at the World Cup 2007 in Germany.
