Laska, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Laska ( German Laatzig ) is a village in Gmina Wolin ( Wollin urban and rural municipality ) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. Laatzig located in Pomerania between cities Wolin ( Wollin German ) and Kamien Pomorski ( Pomerania ), 4 km north-east of Wolin, on the east bank of the Dziwna ( Dievenow ).

History

The first mention of a church comes from 1288th Until about 1600, the news is sparse. The Pomeranian deed book contains several references to border disputes and income of the church. The village is mentioned in a letter from the town of Wolin on January 8, 1324 in which confesses the city that their border and fishing disputes had been settled with those of Muckerwitz in the area of Hagen and Darsewitz; it describes the boundaries between Laatzig, Paatzig and Weckow and marked with stones.

After 1910 Laatzig was connected to the overland Central Massow and thus to the electrical power grid. 1912 electricity and machinery cooperative was founded with 16 members. In the autumn of 1936 Laatzig counted 40 current collector.

By 1924, there were very poor road conditions, although Laatzig was near the town of Wollin. The extended land routes to Wollin and Zebbin were barely passable in rainy weather. For a moderate load of the farmers needed four horses as biasing. The village street of Laatzig was unpaved, so that pedestrians of Drammin made ​​a wide arc around Laatzig, preferring a path across the fields. 1924/25, a road was built and paved the village street of Wollin after Zebbin.
