Lasker~DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award

The Lasker ~ DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award, Albert Lasker Award to 2008 for Clinical Medical Research ( " Albert Lasker Award for Clinical Medical Research" ) is the U.S. Lasker Foundation ( " the Lasker Foundation") for outstanding achievements awarded in the field of clinical research. Together with the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research, he is considered the highest medical and scientific award in the United States.

In 2008, he was renamed in honor of Michael Ellis DeBakey on its current name.

Ten winners (2012 ) later received also a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Karl Landsteiner ( posthumous award in 1946), in 1930 received a Nobel Prize.

In addition to the Lasker ~ DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award, there is the Lasker- Koshland Special Achievement Award in Medical Science (formerly Albert Lasker Achievement Award ), with which it should not be confused.
