Lasse Hallström
Lars Sven " Lasse " Hallström ( born June 2, 1946 in Stockholm ) is a two -time Academy Award -nominated Swedish film director and screenwriter.
Life
Lasse Hallström's career began at school, when the Swedish television aired a short documentary film produced by him. After school Lasse Hallström worked on for this station, as well as for entertainment shows Danish television. He was also the director, writer, cameraman and producer for part of his works.
Internationally he is best known for the film about the pop group ABBA (for which he also anfertigte almost all promo videos ) and by My Life as a Dog, who received Director and Best Screenplay 1987 Academy Award nominations in the categories. Were also Oscar - nominated for his later films Gilbert Grape - Somewhere in Iowa and Cider contribution.
Hallström has been married to his second wife with the Swedish actress Lena Olin.
