Latavio was a Latvian airline based in Riga and based on the Riga airport.
History
Latavio was the Latvian branch of Aeroflot during the time of the Soviet Union. In 1992, the Latavio was - like many other airlines - from the Aeroflot spun and continued as an independent state Latvian airline. After a failed privatization, the company was finally liquidated in 1996.
Destinations
Latavio flew primarily to intra-European destinations. In 1993, Baku, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Larnaca, Moscow, Stockholm, Warsaw and Vienna were on the flight plan.
Fleet
The fleet consisted of Latavio machinery of Soviet design, including Tupolev Tu- 154 Tupolev Tu-134, Antonov An-24 and Antonov An - 12th A former Antonov An - 24B of Latavio can be seen in the Aviation Museum at Riga airport.
