Latvian Farmers' Union

The Latvijas Zemnieku Savieniba ( LZS, Farmers' Union of Latvia ), is a rural political party in Latvia.

In the parliamentary elections in Latvia, on 5 October 2002, she formed together with the Greens, the alliance of Greens and Farmers ( Zalo un Zemnieku Savieniba ), which won 9.5% of the vote and 12 of 100 seats. In 2006, the alliance even reached 16.7 % of the vote and 18 of 100 seats, 14 of which was attributable to the LZS.

The party sees itself as a successor to the existing Savieniba from 1917-1934 Latviešu Zemnieku
