Launched is the second studio album by Beatsteaks. It appeared in 1999 at Epitaph Records.

Origin of the album title

The title is Launched an idea of the producer Uwe Sabirowsky. Peter Baumann said: " First of all, it sounds cool. The name actually comes from our producers, because we have never made ​​us think about how the thing is actually hot. Music

Included on the CD song Kings of Metal is a cover of the American heavy metal band Manowar. Peter Baumann explains the origin of the cover as follows: " This is the result of a Flachserei in the rehearsal room. Our singer Arnim found the text just brilliant. It is the first album by the Beatsteaks the label Epitaph Records. A second edition of the album was released in 2008 and includes a download code for the MP3 version of the album. It is also the first album of the Beatsteaks with Thomas Goetz on drums and the last with Rosswaag Alexander on bass.

The hidden track, which is heard on circuit in connection with rock and roll, is a compilation of various recordings from the rehearsal room of Beatsteaks.
