Laura Harring
Laura Elena Harring Martinez Countess von Bismarck - Schönhausen ( born March 3, 1964 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico ) is an American actress.
Life
Harring lived the first ten years in Mexico before the family relocated to San Antonio, Texas. With 16 Harring went on Aiglon College (high school ) in Switzerland to school. After graduating she went back to the U.S. and participated successfully in several beauty contests. She was among other things, Miss El Paso and Miss Texas. Harring was the first Hispanic American elected to the 1985 Miss USA. In 1987 she married the German Carl- Eduard von Bismarck, but the marriage ended in divorce two years later. It still bears the name of Countess von Bismarck - Schönhausen.
After the divorce itself Harring theater at the London Academy of Performing Arts decided to study. At the beginning of her film career, she was often in series such as Sunset Beach, Baywatch - To see the Baywatch, Blossom or Frasier. Her biggest success came in 2001 with the role of Rita in the film Mulholland Drive - Road of Darkness by David Lynch. Since this film she was mostly seen in many films in smaller roles, such as in John Q, or The Punisher. Also, she was in eight episodes of the series The Shield - see Law of violence.
