Laurent Fels

Laurent Fels ( born February 4, 1984 in Esch- sur -Alzette, Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgian poet, literary scholar and critic. He teaches literature and philosophy at the 'Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles ' in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Life

Laurent rock studied Classical Philology and Literature at the University of Luxembourg and the University of Metz. In 2004 he founded the literary magazine Les Cahiers de Poésie, which is published four times a year and he runs along with the Parisian writer and publisher Joseph Ouaknine.

As a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Research Centre " Écritures " the University of Metz, he is the scientific editor of the series Regards sur la poésie du XXe siècle. Laurent rock is 2009 Member of the European Academy of Poetry since April. He is also a research associate at several literary institutions such as the Société de littérature générale et comparée the University of Luxembourg and the Society for French Studies at Oxford University.

His poetic work was awarded the Grand Prix de Littérature the Académie Nationale de Metz 2007.
