Laurent Thévenot

Laurent Thévenot ( * 1949 ) is a French economist and sociologist.

Together with Luc Boltanski, he is instrumental in the development of a pragmatic sociology of critique as well as a special conventionalist perspective in the economic and social sciences, économie the conventions (EC), involved (see also sociology of markets ). Within the EC is its magnitude, particularly in the field of organizational and institutional research. Yet his concept of form investment plays a special role. His research led him increasingly to the formulation of a pragmatic sociology of engagements in recent years.
