Laurie Main
Laurie Main ( born November 29, 1922 in Melbourne, † February 8, 2012 in Los Angeles ) was an Australian actor.
Main left his home at the age of 16 years, and first went to England, where he found refuge as an actor in touring theater. From 1953 he was also seen in movies. In the late 1950s he went to the United States, where he took acting lessons with Agnes Moorehead. He played on Broadway, inter alia, alongside Eartha Kitt and in numerous television series; his most famous role was that of the host and narrator in Walt Disney Welcome to Pooh Corner. He also took in some movies important supporting roles.
