Laveissière

Laveissière is a commune with 579 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Cantal in the Auvergne region; it belongs to the district of Saint-Flour. The municipality belongs to the Intercommunalité Communauté de communes du Pays de Murat.

Geography

Laveissière is a mountain community of several villages in the Monts du Cantal in the western foothills of the Massif Central. It is located on the National Road 122, in the valley of Alagnon, which also arises here. For the municipality include the Super Lioran ski.
