Laventie

Laventie is a French town with 4881 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the arrondissement of Béthune in the Pas -de- Calais, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais. It is located 23 km west of Lille. Laventie was formerly the capital of L' Alloeu region.

From 1967 to 1974 there was a partnership with the former rural community Sümmern. Through the incorporation Sümmerns in the city of Iserlohn was the twinning 1975 at Iserlohn.
