Łaziska, Opole Voivodeship

Lasisk, Polish Łaziska, is a place in Upper Silesia in the municipality of heaven joke ( Jemielnica ) in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

Lasisk is located north of the municipal seat Jemielnica.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1300.

Beginning of the 19th century lived in Lasisk 205 inhabitants, mid-century 573 inhabitants, of which 15 Protestants.

In the referendum on March 20, 1921 voted 59 voters to remain in Germany and 385 for Poland. Nevertheless Lasisk remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived in Lasisk 887 inhabitants.

On 3 July 1936, the town was renamed in were reading. 1939 lived in were reading 956 inhabitants.

In 1945, it was under Polish administration and renamed Łaziska. In 1950, the City of Opole Voivodeship and 1999 re-established the powiat Strzelecki was assigned. In November 2008, the City also received the official German place names Lasisk.
