Name

The name Laznica and its spelling variants Loznica, Laßnitz etc. comes in southeastern Europe before several times. He comes from the Slavic word meaning a stream, which consists of a forest or a clearing field ( meadow, Au, etc.) or is the area that lies on such a stream. The name is, for example, translated as " forest stream ," " Gereutbach ", " Rodebach ", "Meadow Brook" or Aubach. These derivatives are attributed to old forms of names. Possible clues to the course of the stream in a clearing area also offer the derivations of " clearing, Gereut, bright spot in the woods " or " in the wet meadows ."

The name Kamenička is also used in Slavic or former Slavic settlement areas. He and his variants ( Kamnitz, Kamenice, Chemnitz, Kamenz, Kamenica, chamois, etc.) goes to the Slavic term for a rocky or stony field coming from Bach ( Steinbach, etc.) back (Sorbian Kamjenica " Steinbach " of kamjeń - the stone, also Slovenian: kamen'nica ).
