LazyTown

LazyTown is an Icelandic television series for children. It was produced in 2004 and in Germany and Austria on Super RTL titled LazyTown - Go in 35 episodes aired. In the series, live-action, animation and computer animation are combined. The idea for the series came from Magnús Scheving who also embodies the hero Sportacus. Scheving was aerobic Vice World Champion and tried the series to make children like to play, exercise and healthy eating.

Since May 3, 2013, in the Cartoonito block on Boomerang, the third season aired. A fourth series has been announced for 2014.

Action

The series revolves around a town called Lazy Town, their name from the English lazy ( lazy ' ) is derived. But the general laziness has an end, emerge as Sportacus and Stephanie. Soon nothing is felt in Lazy Town of laziness. But an upsets the quite formidable: Freddie Putrid. Freddie just want to laze around and have his rest. Main characters

Sportacus is the hero of the series. Thanks to the magic crystal that always beeps when someone is in Lazy Town in danger, he is always there when someone needs help. He brings to the residents of Lazy Town, how to eat healthy. He lives in an airship that hovers over the city.

Stephanie is the niece of the mayor and new to the city. She loves dancing and motivated along with Sportacus the other kids drive to play and sport.

Freddie Putrid lives in the underground of Lazy Town and loves lounging. Sportacus is a thorn in the eye, because since this is in the city and all motivated to activity and sport, he feels disturbed in his sleep. He constantly tries to get rid of Sportacus with the help of tricks. Pixel belongs to Lazy Town - clique and is an absolute computer genius. Only by Stephanie he got outside contact; prior to their arrival, he was a loner who had always hidden behind his computers.

Meini is a small, rich boy who does not like shares and believes that everything belongs to him. But in his heart he is quite adorable, so the other kids like him.

Ziggy is a typical Lazy -Town - dwellers - he is a very vernaschter, rounded, but more helpful and friendly boy and is one of Stephanie's best friends. He always has candy in his pockets.

Reviews

The series has been praised several times by critics for their positive effect on children and designated as educationally valuable.
