Le Bourg-d'Oisans

Le Bourg d'Oisans is a commune in the department of Isère, in the Rhône -Alpes. Its population is 3278 (as of January 1, 2011 ), the area of ​​35.75 km ². The inhabitants are called Bourcats or Bourcates.

The main town of the Oisans region lies in the valley of the Romanche amidst the Dauphiné Alps, on the main road from Grenoble to Briançon. To the north, the Col de la Croix de Fer, in the southeast of the National Park Ecrins.
