Le Chastelain de Couci

Castellan of Coucy ( Raoul de Coucy or Renault ) was a historically attested Trouvère of 12-13. Century, who was on a crusade death.

He became famous to eat by his love for the lady of Fayel, who was forced by her husband at the heart of the deceased beloved, and died of grief about it - an event which, however, was not historically proven.

The Castellan of Coucy to write about 23 songs, which were published by Michel (Paris, 1830). The source of subsequent machining is a poetic novel about the Castellan of Coucy from the beginning of the 14th century; best known is the poem by Ludwig Uhland and the seals of Boccaccio and Margaret of Navarre.
