Le Larderet

Le Larderet is a commune in the French department of Jura in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Le Larderet Located at 650 meters above sea level. M., about nine miles north- northeast of the city Champagnole (air line). The farming village in the Jura extends slightly increased on the eastern edge of the plateau of the Angillon at the foot of the heights of the Forêt de la face.

History

The municipality of Le Larderet was already inhabited in prehistoric times. In 1408, the city was awarded certain liberties. Together with the Franche -Comté reached the village with the Peace of Nijmegen in 1678 to France.

Population

With 86 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) Le Larderet one of the smallest towns in the Jura. After the population had decreased significantly in the first half of the 20th century (1881 170 people were still counted ), a slight increase in population was recorded since the early 1980s again.

Economy and infrastructure

Le Larderet was until well into the 20th century a predominantly coined by agriculture and forestry village. Even today, the inhabitants live on the merits of the activity in the first sector. Outside of the primary sector, there are few jobs in the village. Some employed persons are also commuters who engage in the surrounding larger towns of their work.

The village is located off the major thoroughfares on a secondary road that leads from Équevillon after Chapois. Another road connection with the main road D467 ( Champagnole - Salins- les- Bains ).
