Le Saint

Le Saint ( Breton: Ar Sent ) is a commune of 630 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association Pays du Roi Morvan.

Geography

Le Saint is in the northwest of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays du Roi Morvan.

Neighboring municipalities are Langonnet and Faouët in the east, to the southwest as well as Guiscriff Gourin the west and north.

By the D769 community of Saint- Pol-de -Léon leads to Lorient. The most important national road link is the N164 far north.

The major bodies of water are the Inam River in the west and the Bach Moulin du Doc in the east of the municipality. Both partially form the boundary of the municipality.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Kernev (Fr. Cornwall ) and within this region to region Bro Chtou (French Chtou ) and shares his story. Since 1793 Le Saint belongs to the canton Gourin.
