Le Sang

Grand Master Lê Sang (* the fall of 1920 in Ha Noi, Vietnam; † 27 September 2010 in Ho Chi Minh City) was since 1960 the top grandmasters of the Vietnamese martial art Vovinam.

Le Sang was born in 1920 as the son of Le Van Hien ( 1887-1959 ) and his wife Nguyen Thi Mui ( 1887-1993 ). After a serious disease which affected his ability to walk greatly, he advised his mother to study a martial art in order to strengthen his legs again.

In Hanoi, he learned Vovinam at Nguyen Loc. Soon taught Le Sang also own and developed together with Nguyen Loc Vovinam on.

1954 Le Sang Nguyen Loc escorted to Saigon and opened a Vovinam class there. Later he opened more schools and taught the higher graded trainer. Nguyen Loc in 1960 handed the maintenance and development of Vovinam to Le Sang.
