Lead (II ) bromide is a lead salt which is used in the electronics industry and results from the combustion of leaded petrol from 1,2- dibromoethane and tetraethyl lead.
Properties
Lead (II ) bromide shows photoluminescence under UV light at low temperatures ( <200 K).
Use
Lead (II ) bromide is used in the electronics industry as a thin film material. Furthermore, it can be used ( as a pilot school for example ) and as a source of complex compounds for the electrolytic production of lead.
