Leah Baird

Leah Baird ( born June 20, 1883 in Chicago, Illinois, † October 3, 1971 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California ) was an American screenwriter and film actress in the silent film era.

Life

In 1913, Baird began her career as an actress and managed to attract the attention of critics in the following year by meaty roles opposite William S. Hart and on the side of Douglas Fairbanks. In the sound era they occurred mainly in supporting roles and as a screenwriter in appearance.

On November 25, 1914 Leah Baird married the film producer Arthur Beck. From the marriage, which by all accounts was lucky to have a daughter emerged. Leah Baird died of leukemia and was buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
