Leah Fortune

Leah Lynn Gabriela Fortune ( born December 13, 1990 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian- American football player.

Life

Leah was born in São Paulo, but grew up in Wayne (Illinois), where her parents worked as missionaries.

Career

Leah began her career with four years in the youth of Brasilia LFC and was promoted to the professional team in 2005. After she played two years for Basilia LFC, she moved in 2006 to the Wheaton Academy, where Leah was vice captain. As of January 2008, she starred alongside her college degree for the team Eclipse. In 2009, she left the team Eclipse and signed with Chicago Liverpool FC. In the spring of 2010, she began her studies at the University of Texas at Austin and played for the Longhorns in the Women's Soccer Team.

International career

Leah represented her country at the U- 20 Women's World Cup in Chile in 2008 and at the U -20 Women's World Cup 2010 in Germany. At a senior international game they came not yet, because she has not yet decided whether she competes for Brazil or the United States.

Private

Her father Hudson is American, but grew up in Brazil. After he returned to the U.S., he played as a footballer at Indiana University and became captain. Later he played as a professional football player for Pittsburgh Spirit and Indianapolis Daredevils.
